なぜベニヤ板に額装か?
グエル公園の印象から､
海と山と太陽を閉じ込めたくなかったから｡

アクリル板を使わず､フレームは角丸。
フレームのデザインはモザイクタイル｡
鮮やかなタイルは自分で焼いて､
既存のタイルとあわせて配置。
トカゲ＝サラマンダー｡
火に強いトカゲと賢者の石｡

トカゲのモザイク部分は､
プリントをカットして表現。
公園のタイルのイメージとリンクするといいな。
ガウディーをリスペクトして､
バルセロナの思い出に制作。


Why the plywood frame?
I wanted to emphasize the sensation of
openness in Güell Park,
with the sea, the mountains, and the sun.

The lizard is a salamander, fire resistant,
and protector of the Philosopher's stone.
The mosaic of the salamander's skin is mirrored
by the paper cuts on the frame (print).
I hope it will be linked with the image of
the tiles in the park.

I made this work as a memory of Barcelona,
as a tribute to Gaudí.
